Who we are
Aavaran is a marketing vehicle set up by the Centre of the Study of Values (COS-V) a leading NGO, in Udaipur (Raj.) that is working for the development of deprived tribal communities in the region since 1988. It focuses on women and child development. The aim is to help women get access to their basic rights and make them independent through skill development and economic empowerment. The key strategy is to create a value system within the community that generates employment opportunities moving women towards self-reliance.

How we work
Aavaran has set up a craft outlet under its own brand name in the city of Udaipur for selling the products made by women artisans. It also generates wholesale orders for them through leading domestic retail houses. The net income earned by Aavaran is utilized in providing educational, health and other benefits to its member artisans.
